Nevsky Prospekt will hold free violin music concerts

From 6 to 27 July, with the support of the Committee on Culture of St. Petersburg, the V Violin on Nevsky Festival will be held.

The V Violin on Nevsky festival is 4 days and 40 open concerts of violin music performed by famous Petersburg musicians who will perform in solo, chamber and orchestral compositions. The festival format has long been familiar to both residents and guests of the city: every Saturday in July from 12 to 21.00 at the Art Square, comfortably seated in the stalls, on the grass near the stage or in neighboring cafes, you can listen to famous and rarely performed compositions by your favorite composers. Concerts successfully combined with a visit to the Russian Museum. In the concluding theatrical season “Violin on Nevsky” takes the audience into the warm summer space of the city.

In the first block of concerts, the music “Before and after Mozart” will be presented. Next will be “Dancing with a Violin”, “Violin Miniatures” and “Journey with a Violin” – these are fixed themes, which reveal the violin music of different countries, eras, styles and authors.

Residents of the festival will take part in the current season: musicians Rubins, Stekolschikova, Erte, Ostrovskaya, Usova, Glazunova, Gavrilova, Drukh, as well as the North-West Orchestra conducted by Semagin and the International Tauride Orchestra conducted by Golikov.

Project concerts will be held on July 6, 13, 20, 27. In addition, on July 13 and 20 along the Nevsky Prospekt, the musicians of the Pushkin Quartet will give concerts at the auto-price.
